“There is nothing good unless someone does it” – a surprisingly topical evening focused on Erich Kästner. Friedrich-Wilhelm Junge parries and gestures to bring the erstwhile newspaper editor Kästner to life in superior style. “It’s amazing how explosive the impact is today of the critical prose and chansons from 1945-1948” writes the Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper. Following his drama studies, Junge was involved with various German stages. In 1988, he founded the Dresdner Brettl (Dresden Cabaret). Since 1994, he has been active at the Theaterkahn Dresden and, until the beginning of 2005, was also its artistic director. Junge has been a regular at Leverkusen with his productions since the 1990s.
