The Bayer Erholungshaus is one of the oldest venues in Leverkusen. It was officially opened in 1908 as part of the Anna residential estate. In its main auditorium, seating up to 800 people, Bayer Arts & Culture holds concerts and plays, while art exhibitions are held regularly in the foyer.Fresh start and refurbishmentThe building was originally planned as a gym and initially also housed a public reading room. The theatre was refurbished after a fire in 1975 and reopened two years later. In 1992 the ticket office of Bayer Arts & Culture moved into the redesigned foyer. The auditorium, exhibition area and foyer underwent conversion work in 1997. The Erholungshaus adjoins a small park that Bayer laid out before World War I. In summer, visitors can enjoy refreshments in the beer garden. Click here for the Erholungshaus seating plan and price categories. AddressErholungshaus LeverkusenNobelstraße 3751373 Leverkusen
