    Accordion Affairs

    Jazz

When is three actually four? It will be this evening: what appears to be a quartet is actually only three musicians. Listening to their latest album, there are four distinct instruments: piano, accordion, bass and drums. How can that be? The answer to that is quite simple. Jörg Siebenhaar is a unique talent. Even though he is blind, he plays accordion and piano in the same piece. At the same time, not one after the other. The diverse colors of the accordion and piano open up a broad musical spectrum for the trio, enhanced by the two other, equally versatile band members. The accordion is a cosmopolitan instrument, and Accordion Affairs have a style that is appropriately inspired by world music.
