The Bayer Dormagen Male Voice Choir
The Bayer Dormagen Male Voice Choir has around 90 members and is one of Bayer AG’s oldest cultural societies. Its members aim to contribute towards international understanding with their singing and to help shape cultural life. This includes the concert tours that the choir undertakes every other year.

The highly versatile choir always offers its audiences a varied programme that may include anything from classical choral music from different epochs, especially the 19th-century, operetta melodies and operatic choruses to musicals, folk music and choral music by contemporary composers.

History

In 1927 around 25 employees of the Farbenfabriken Bayer Dormagen founded a works male voice choir. The choir's activities were distrupted by World War II. but it was re-formed in the post-war years by a handful of surviving singers. The name of the choir was changed many times over the years, but in 1976 the members finally agreed on the name that the choir retains to this day  - Männerchor Bayer Dormagen e.V.
