At Bayer’s Krefeld-Uerdingen site four company ensembles have for decades made sure that there is a varied cultural programme. The Akkordeon-Orchester Bayer Uerdingen 1950 has won several awards and is as much at home in modern popular music as it is in folk or classical music. The repertoire of the Sängervereinigung Bayer 1935 Uerdingen is rich and varied too, offering an ambitious combination of sacred and secular music. The Bayer Symphoniker play works ranging from classical to modern. The Symphony Orchestra regularly undertakes concert tours in Germany and further afield. The Laienspielgruppe Bayer Uerdingen amateur dramatic group adds a theatrical note with, for example, its annual Christmas pantomime.
