“Theatre is a crucial building block for our development as people. Children and young people have to find their place in an increasingly complex world. Challenging, well-written, classical works of literature are therefore important because the individual can use his or her imagination to work out how the subject matter relates to today. A ‘children’s menu’ in the theatre provides inadequate intellectual nourishment.” (Georg Podt, director of the SchauBurg-Theater der Jugend in Munich)

“Music and children: we know so much about music – that it promotes intelligence and creativity, brings people together and improves efficiency (even cows produce more milk if played Mozart!). In the eyes of adults, these are all good reasons for encouraging children to listen to music. But as far as I’m concerned, there is only one reason: music is the art form that is closest to the soul and the heart. It embraces you and keeps you warm – throughout your life. That’s what counts.” (Konrad Beikircher, cabaret artiste/musician/author)
