Under the patronage of French Prime Minister François Fillon and the Minister-President of North-Rhine Westphalia Jürgen Rüttgers, cultural and social exchanges between North Rhine-Westphalia and France are to be intensified in the 2008/2009 season.

“Photography from Düsseldorf”, an exhibition of some 160 works of photographic art by 20 artists, will be opened by Jürgen Rüttgers at the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris on October 2, 2008. It is the first large-scale exhibition of Düsseldorf photography to be shown in France.

Bayer’s sponsorship of this exhibition, which is partnered by the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, concludes the opening cycle “Bayer.Kultur bleu-blanc-rouge” (see p. 15) and sets an important accent in the company’s 20-year Franco-German cultural dialogue.
