| Restaurant "Kulisse" in the Bayer Kulturhaus |
At Bayer Arts & Culture we always do our utmost to satisfy our clientele, for example through our culinary offer before, during and after events. Our long-standing partners here are Bayer Gastronomie, Bayer’s catering service, and the professional team from the Kulisse bistro.
Together with the Kulisse team, Bayer Arts & Culture wants to extend and improve the services available in the new season. With immediate effect, the new bistro menu will feature healthy and freshly prepared seasonal delicacies to tickle the taste buds of visitors to the Bayer Kulturhaus before or after events in the main auditorium or at the highly popular Conversations,Readings or Jazz in the Kulisse.
But that’s not the only innovation that the Kulisse team under its new manager Thomas Lotheisen and chef de cuisine Torsten Spanner is introducing for the 2011/12 season: it is now possible, for example, to order your own personal interval snack before the performance begins. You pay on ordering, and when you go to the Kulisse or the foyer in the interval, your snack and drinks will be waiting for you at a specially reserved table.
Culture and cuisine are a perfect pair, so why not combine your trip to the theatre or a concert with a three-course menu at the weekend? This offer is available either before or after the performance, depending on when it begins. You can purchase your ticket for the menu along with your admission tickets in the Bayer Arts & Culture ticket office, then just sit back, relax and look forward to culture and cuisine at the weekend. You might like to invite some friends along, too, or celebrate your birthday in this way. The possibilities are endless! On arrival, you will find a tastefully set table reserved for you. The Kulisse team can also offer professional advice on the choice of wines. And if the weather is fine, you can, if you like, dine outside in the theatre garden. The culture and cuisine offer is only available in conjunction with certain events, as indicated in this prospectus.
As a special highlight, chef Torsten Spanner and his team will be concocting two themed menus – “Vienna” for the performance of Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde, and “Prague” for the Franz Kafka evening with Dominique Horwitz and the Signum Quartet – featuring culinary specialities from these two cultural capitals. In each case, the starter will be served before the performance begins, a light entrée will follow during the interval, and a main course and dessert will round off the meal afterwards. Tickets for these menus can also be ordered in the Bayer Arts & Culture ticket office.
These offers will be advertised in the monthly leporello and on the information screen in the ticket office. Bayer Gastronomie is also producing a flyer listing the offers for the entire 2011/12 season and giving details of the respective menus.
